Horathapola Estate

After the long flight to Colombo Javana and Pia, who own and run Horathapola Estate will offer a very warm welcome on arrival. It is the perfect place to while away a couple of days whilst acclimatising to the tropical surroundings, or for winding down after a hectic tour. Whilst Horathapola continues as a working plantation, the house itself has been immaculately renovated and decorated, and has a lovely heritage feel about it, with high ceilings, wooden floors and plenty of charm. Make sure you take a trip round the estate by bullock cart which the kids will love, and bikes can be borrowed to explore the surrounding countryside - that is if you can drag them away from the fantastic pool and delightful frangipani scented gardens. A great find so close to the airport.
