This modern villa has a very Balinese feel to it, with separate pavilions for each bedroom, as well as individual dinning and living pavilions. The double bedrooms have views directly out to the ocean, so it's possible to lie in bed and gaze out on the azure sea. One of the pavilions is specifically designed with children in mind, with a twin and a single room, which would be great for an accompanaying nanny. The villa interiors however are pure Sri Lankan, with smooth concrete floors, wooden shuttered windows, which allow the sea breezes to naturally cool the villa, as well as open large verandahs. There is a slightly smaller than usual pool (which is great for younger kids) surrounded by expansive gardens, offering plenty of shaded areas for resting. The house leads down to a deserted beach; however one must be careful of the undertow when in the sea. The pool is definitely a safer bathing option. The iconic stilt fishermen can be seen directly from the gate to the beach both early morning and late afternoon.
