A fantastic seven bedroom villa located directly opposite the vast and deserted 3kms expanse of Mahawella beach. All rooms come with double beds, mosquito nets, direct sea views and en suite bathrooms. The house was built as a family home and has a distinct cozy feeling matched by a genuine Sri Lankan feel with the faithful use of local furniture, fixtures and fittings. The gardens have hammocks for lounging in during the day whilst the central courtyard features the pool as well as a the massage pavilion, where local Thai and Ayurvedic therapists can be called in to provide treatments at incredibly reasonable prices.
There are plenty of activities to keep kids and adults busy, including badminton and cricket sets, football and volleyball as well as watersports at nearby Dickwella where boogie boards, windsurfers, kayaks and snorkelling gear can be rented. During the migration season (November - April) whale watching excursions from nearby Mirissa can be arranged, and Sri Lanka is one of the foremost locations in the world for seeing Blue and Sperm whales.
