The Weir

Located in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka The Weir is an immaculately designed private residence, and perfect for those who want an exclusive retreat in pristine hill country. The Weir is built into the mountainside and is surrounded by verdant forests and a 6 acre garden where vegetables are cultivated and used to prepare meals. In addition it also has a small scale coffee plantation, so expect fantasticially fresh ground coffee with breakfast. The Weir has four spacious bedrooms, each opening onto the gardens or a private verandah. The living spaces are open and light with spectacular panoramic views of the countryside. As the house is a family home  it comes fully equipped with all modern amenities you'd expect including cable TV, DVD player and an i-pod dock.

Because of it's location it's easy to visit both Kandy and the Hill Country on day excursions, and for the more adventurous and active the white water rafting at nearby Kitugala is a must, as well as a climb of Sri Lanka's highest and most sacred of mountains, Adam's Peak.

4 Bedroom villa sleeping up to 10 . We do not recommend The Weir for children aged 8 or under due to the sloping nature of the gardens.

Rates for exclusive villa use per night: £155.00 for 1-2 persons; £235.00 for 3-4 guests; £295.00 for 5-7 guests; £400.00 from 8-10 guests.  Rates are based on Half Board.
